The Vienna Air King is an international dirt jump competition, which is held every spring and functions as the annual bike season kick off event in Europe. 2012 it’s the 7th anniversary, again happening in conjunction with the ARGUS Bike Festival – Austria’s biggest bike event. It’s not only the dirt jump contest that attracts overall about 120.000 visitors each year, a big bike exhibition area featuring the newest trends in the cycling industry is also gaining great attention.

Last year’s winner Sam Pilgrim, UK, showed a constantly strong performance and clearly enforced against his competitors, winning the Vienna Air King 2011 the second time in a row and third in total.
Although Yannick Granieri (FRA/2ndplace) and Greg Watts (USA/3rd place) dished a few well to take Pilgrim’s crown, was none of them able to push the Brit of the 1st place podium.

This year’s edition is once again also the kick off event for the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour. The Title, the price money and a hard rocking after party made the Vienna Air King a perfect start into the contest season for riders and fans from all over the globe. This year you’ll once again be able to see the top riders in the Mountainbike freeride sport battling for the title: Vienna Air King 2012.
